Vombat Player is the first live concerts transmitter from Planet Earth. It lets you tune to Vombat Radio channel ( www.vombatradio.com ) and among other functions it offers you automatic reminders about beginning concerts with sound or pop up.
It's quite light-weight and does not have any special requirements apart from at least 128kbps internet connection. It works under Windows XP / 2000 / 2003 / Windows Vista. You may need to update your Internet Explorer to version 7.0 or higher or you will encounter "black frames" in the main window due to the old IE bugs with transparent images. Most concerts are broadcast live, directly from the Artists' homes or studios , clubs, scenes, festivals and other places that are connected to the Internet. The fact that everything happens in real time may cause some delays, especially during club or festival broadcast. All concerts are broadcast in stereo quality, similar to the one you can get from a 128kbps MP3 file. We do our best to ensure you get great quality but we don't have any direct influence on the stream. It goes directly from the broadcasting computer to the main server from where you receive it. Due to the fact that concerts are broadcast from all around the globe, their start times change from one zone to another. Depending on where you live, you'll get different start hours. Vombat Player adjusts automatically to your Time Zone so you don't have to worry about the calculations. See also: vombat, player, streamer, online, radio, concert
